Frequently Asked Questions

What is your cost per square foot?

While this is a very common question from home buyers; Cost per square foot is an unreliable method to use while shopping for a builder. Variables such as location, style of home, and the buyer’s taste in finishes, will directly affect the cost of a home. Trends with construction material prices is also a factor. Rather than guessing at these variables and providing an inaccurate number, we take the time to provide you a formal estimate for each design and make any necessary adjustments in order to meet your budget.

Where do you build?

We build in rural areas of Doña Ana County, New Mexico, in addition to developments within the City of Las Cruces, New Mexico. We have completed projects in Radium Springs, Doña Ana, Raasaf Hills, and Fairacres.

Why should I choose a custom home?

Custom homes tend to be regarded as large, extravagant homes. However, they can be based on simple or elaborate plans that are designed around your lifestyle. You can supply your own floor plan or work with us to design your home from scratch. With a large-production home builder, you typically choose from a limited set of floor plans that have very little flexibility to suit your needs and style. Additionally, production homes also tend to have very little variety from one another.

When building a custom home, your choices are nearly unlimited. Your main restrictions are your budget and zoning limitations. If you like the idea of creating your dream home from scratch, then building a custom home is likely for you.

Can you design my home based on ideas that I have seen?

We encourage our clients to give us as many visuals as possible in the form of pictures, sketches, existing plans, and any other resources that you feel may be beneficial. This will help us to understand your style and expectations.

Can you build on raw land?

Raw land is land that is in its original state. As opposed to vacant lots that are available within a subdivision, raw land is undeveloped and lacks infrastructure. Many of our clients prefer to build their homes on raw land and we have plenty of experience with bringing in all utilities that may be required to make your land suitable for a home. A site visit would be required prior to design in order to ensure feasibility.
